McClintock Roofing has been serving Eastern Connecticut since 1993. Dan McClintock worked his way through college as a roofer. After graduating UCONN, he started his own contracting business with a focus on only roofing. McClintock Roofing specializes in all types of roofs--asphalt shingles, real & synthetic slate, cedar shakes, metal including copper, and EPDM rubber roofing.
We also fabricate metal in our shop and can make custom copper accents or help reflash your skylight. With so many years experience, people often call Dan the "Leak Detective," because he finds the origins of leaks no other roofers can. Whether it's a small job, like a leak repair or a larger full roof replacement, we handle each job with professionalism and expertise. We are fully insured and offer a 25 year, 100% material and labor warranty on all full roof replacements.

Windham Preservation Inc. is a local nonprofit dedicated to preserving Windham’s historic buildings, village character, and planned spaces. The organization is best known for its work to restore, rehabilitate, and repurpose the historic Windham Inn, one of Windham Center’s most recognizable landmarks. The Inn sits near Windham Green and carries layers of local history, with roots tied to the Old Fitch Tavern and a brick building that dates back to the early 1800s.
WPI’s work goes beyond saving one building. The group creates self-guided walking tour maps, hosts educational programs, organizes community events, and helps people better understand the historic places hiding in plain sight around Windham. Their goal is to bring these spaces back into public life, including the long-term plan for the Windham Inn to serve the community again as housing and flexible community space. Through memberships, donations, grants, and volunteer support, Windham Preservation Inc. continues working to protect the physical history that gives Windham its character.

The Willimantic Food Co-op has been a community staple since 1980, but its roots go back even further to the Willimantic Buyers Club of the early 1970s. What started as neighbors meeting in the basement of St. Paul’s Church to order bulk food and split it at lower prices eventually grew into a full retail grocery store. Today, the Co-op is still member-owned and member-guided, but everyone is welcome to shop there, members and non-members alike.
The store carries a full lineup of groceries, produce, cheese, grains, spices, vitamins, dairy, household goods, and more, with a strong focus on local and regional producers. It is also built around the classic co-op idea of “one member, one vote,” meaning members have a real say in how the store is run. Beyond groceries, the Co-op supports local farms, accepts SNAP benefits, offers working-member opportunities, and continues to put down deeper roots in downtown Willimantic. It is part grocery store, part community hub, and part reminder that shopping local can actually keep more of the good stuff close to home.
