🔭Sky report: it’s all about the Eta Aquariid meteor shower peaking May 5–6 before sunrise, with fast, bright shooting stars streaking through the sky if you’re up early enough. Then it doesn’t just go quiet; you can still catch leftover meteors through May 7–8, and by the weekend the moon hits its last quarter (May 9), meaning slightly darker skies and better overall stargazing conditions heading into May 10–11.
