Right on the border of Windham County, this massive state park is a winter powerhouse. While many people come for cross country skiing, the areas near the dam and the open fields offer some great, natural sledding terrain. It is a beautiful spot if you want to feel like you are out in the wild.
We love sharing these local favorites so you can get the family outside or act like a kid again yourself. But keep in mind that sledding is an "at your own risk" activity. We aren't responsible for any injuries, broken sleds, or frozen toes. Always check with the local town hall or park department if you are unsure about current rules. Watch out for hidden rocks under the snow, stay clear of the water, and please do not sled toward the street. Have fun out there.
